BEHIND THE PEN

D.F.Wade is the pen name of a Brisbane-base writer and Police Dectective. He grew up in the wheatbelt of Western Australia and attended Narrogin Senior High School. He joined the Australian Army where he became an infantry section commander and a United Nations Peacekeeper in Cambodia in 1993.

 

Since exiting the Army, D.F Wade has served with two State Police Services, and has received State award and National recognition for his work with disadvantaged youth.

 

He is a graduate of Queensland University of Technology’s Master of Creative Industries program, majoring in Creative Writing, and holds a Bachelor degree in Policing through Charles Sturt University. 

 

In 2011 he won the Fellowship of Australian Writers National Literary Award for short film script.

 

Kelly’s Divide was his debut novel followed by Puffin Jack.

 

He currently lives in Brisbane, Queensland.
